Privacy policy.

Kelvin is a Mac app made by Aycan Deniz Vit. Kelvin does not send app usage data to the developer and does not include advertising or analytics SDKs from third parties.

Settings on your Mac

Kelvin stores preferences, presets, schedules, hotkeys, and app and display rules locally on your Mac. It uses information about connected displays and the active application to apply the rules you configure. This information is processed on your Mac and is not sent to the developer.

Sunset and sunrise estimates are calculated on your Mac from its time zone. Kelvin does not request precise location access for scheduling. Display adjustments do not modify your files, screenshots, or screen recordings.

iCloud preset sync

Kelvin can synchronize presets between your Macs using Apple’s iCloud key value storage. Preset sync is enabled by default when a compatible signed build and an iCloud account are available. You can turn it off in Kelvin’s General settings.

When enabled, preset data and synchronization timestamps are stored in your iCloud account and handled by Apple. The developer does not receive or have access to this data. Turning sync off stops future synchronization from that Mac; it does not automatically remove data previously stored in iCloud. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.

App Store and diagnostics

Apple handles App Store purchases, downloads, and any diagnostics you choose to share through Apple’s services. Kelvin does not receive your payment card details. Apple may make diagnostics available to the developer under your Apple sharing settings. Kelvin has no separate telemetry service run by the developer.

Support email

If you contact kelvin@aycandv.dev, the developer receives your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. This information is used to respond, investigate problems, and maintain support correspondence. Support mail is processed by Cloudflare’s email routing service and Google’s email service.

Messages are retained while needed to handle support, follow up on related issues, or meet applicable obligations. You can request deletion by emailing the same address. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or unrelated sensitive information.

This website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. It does not use advertising, analytics scripts, cookies, or browser storage for tracking. Cloudflare processes connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its practices.

Links to Apple and other external websites are subject to those services’ own privacy policies.

Your choices and requests

You can change or remove local presets and rules within Kelvin and disable iCloud preset sync in settings. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information provided through support. Contact kelvin@aycandv.dev for privacy questions or requests. Data held by Apple or Cloudflare is also subject to their respective policies and controls.
